Aside from the dangerously steamy Amazon backdrop, Ben totally makes this book. He is one of those enigmatic men – you think he open and easy-going because he wants you to – then whammo – he does something and you just know he isn’t quite as laconic as he makes out. Magnificently sexy, Ben is a moden-day rake. Strip away his veneer, and this is a man who takes no prisoners – the perfect foil for Jillian’s drive and focus – nothing like a little (a lot, we should say), down and dirty sex to shake this archaeologist up! Of course, word leaks out that Jillian and Ben are on the search for a fabled ruby and danger dogs their every step. Nothing beats the lure of danger and tantalizing passion.
