Cady Briggs is troubled and suspicious of the accidental death of her great aunt, Vesta Briggs. Vesta was the founder of the profitable Gallery Chatelaine and right before her death, she mentioned having reservations about an upcoming merger with the Austry-Post Gallery. When Cady discovers that Vesta has left her in charge of Chatelaine’s, instead of her CEO cousin Sylvia, alarm bells start to ring. Cady needs help. It just so happens that through the Internet, she has located a discrete research firm called Lost & Found. And her communication with its founder, Mack Easton, has her curiously daydreaming about him. Mack also feels the cyber attraction. Despite the nature of the project, he agrees to take the case. Now all that’s left to do is figure out what really happened to Vesta. But Cady knows that being useful to a client is one thing and being used is another. So no matter how alluring she finds Mack, she plans to keep business and pleasure entirely separate.
