Married FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacy Sherlock are caught in a horrendous new case in this sixth FBI book by Coulter. Serial killers Tammy and Tommy Tuttle have been kidnapping and killing children across the country. They finally capture the killers and two boys are rescued. During the attack Dillon witnesses a seemingly supernatural event when Tammy calls for the “Ghouls” to accept the blood sacrifice. Another shock arrives when Dillon is informed that his sister Lily has crashed her car in an apparent suicide attempt. Seven months earlier, Lily’s daughter Beth was killed in a hit and run accident. Lily’s new husband, Tennyson Fraser, seems very supportive, but Dillon is slightly suspicious as there has been too much turbulence for comfort. He and Lacy immediately head to Hemlock Bay to check in on Lily and evaluate the situation - and her husband. What they discover is too fiendish to imagine. After digging out Catherine’s previous FBI novels last month (The Cove, The Maze, The Edge, The Target, Riptide) we went delving through the shelves for some of our favourite historicals by her. |
